Update
Economy rebalance, Wilderness boss fixes and anti-cheat
Smelting had become a money printer, three Wilderness boss specials were impossible to avoid, and one of them could freeze the client. All three are fixed, alongside a batch of item and interface bugs.
Ore and bar shops now restock a minute per unit rather than a second, closing a smelting loop that paid more for a bar than its ore cost.
Wilderness boss special attacks were unavoidable by construction — they now have a real window to react in, and the one that could freeze the client no longer does.
Thammaron's sceptre and the Accursed sceptre turned into Iban's staff mid-cast. Fixed.
The looting bag would not empty at a bank and its Check option did nothing.
Preset loading left phantom gear behind in the equipment tab.
Shilo Village's bank was a tile too small to reach, and the Webweaver special was landing as a melee attack.
Cannonballs are now gated at 35 Smithing, and Nulodion stocks the ammo mould.
New anti-cheat: the server now checks where your character actually is before acting on an interface, and screen-reading bots are detected from where their clicks land.
Content
Rune pouch, ground item filters and boss teleport tokens
Three quality-of-life additions that came straight from what people were asking for in Discord, plus a pass over the Wilderness weapon stats.
Rune pouch — three rune types in one inventory slot, spendable directly while casting.
Ground item filters — RuneLite-style per-item minus and plus buttons, plus a value filter with a hold-to-reveal override.
Boss teleport tokens in the Vote Shop for the eight bosses that had none.
Wilderness weapon stats corrected at their source rather than patched in the generated file.
The Revenant knight was paying out like a level-82 cyclops. It now rewards its actual level.
Stacks of three enchanted dragon bolt families drew as jewellery instead of bolts.
Announcement
2006 Revival is now Ashmarch
The server keeps the 2006 gameframe, NPCs and combat, but its content now runs well past 2006 — so a year in the name had stopped describing what you actually log into. New name, new domain, same accounts and same progress.
The server, the website and the launcher are now Ashmarch, at ashmarch.com.
Tagline: Classic 2006, Modern Endgame.
Nothing about your account changes. Same login, same stats, same bank, same items.
The login screen has a new wordmark on the same painting — it was always a volcanic ash-covered march.
Your existing launcher keeps updating itself. There is nothing to reinstall.
Client
The browser client now handles clicks properly
Playing in a browser tab had a class of bug where clicks landed in the wrong place, or the hover state never updated. The input path was rebuilt against the viewport the page actually presents.
Clicks are now translated against the presented viewport, so they land where you aimed at any window size.
A tap now sets the hover state a real mouse would have set first, which fixes right-click menus on touch devices.
Packet reads are buffered, removing a stutter on slower connections.
Startup no longer waits on DNS resolution, and a failure during startup reports itself instead of leaving a blank canvas.
Infrastructure
New host, better hardware
The game server moved to dedicated hardware in London. The migration was DNS-first, so nobody had to reinstall anything.
The server is resolved by hostname now rather than a hardcoded address, which is what made a move possible without breaking every installed launcher.
Better hardware, better routing for European players, and off-site backups on the new host from day one.
Content
Zulrah, the Wilderness boss roster and the Revenant Caves
The biggest content drop of the summer: a full Zulrah implementation with a fixed rotation, six Wilderness bosses, and the Revenant Caves.
Zulrah — three phase forms with a fixed green, blue, green, red rotation, snakelings, venom clouds and the full drop table including the mutagens.
Wilderness bosses — Callisto, Venenatis, Vet'ion, Scorpia, the Chaos Fanatic and the Crazy archaeologist, with the rings, the Voidwaker pieces and the wards.
Revenant Caves — the full revenant ladder from imp to ork, and the three revenant weapons.
F-key shortcuts across the interface.
Content
Motherlode Mine
The Motherlode Mine is in, water wheel and all.
The water wheel's animation was imported so the wheel actually turns.
The deposit box no longer shuts itself for staff, and Percy's Talk-to option leads somewhere.
The chest now reaches the Trading Post.
Client
Resizable client, HUD size and draw distance
The client can be resized properly now instead of stretching a fixed frame, and the gameplay settings panel gained controls for HUD size and draw distance.
True resizable mode: panels are pixel-identical fixed-gameframe regions reconstructed at the new anchors, so nothing is stretched or blurred.
The client switches between fixed and resizable mode based on size.
HUD size and draw distance controls live in the settings cog.
An active-task HUD popup so you can see your current task without opening the interface.
