Ashmarch does not use the old quest list for account progression. The Task System gives structured goals across skilling, combat, exploration and account milestones, paying task points that spend in the in-game Task Shop. Keep one short-term and one long-term task active at all times.
Ashmarch no longer uses the old quest list for account progression. Instead, the server uses a Task System that gives you structured goals across skilling, combat, exploration, and account milestones. It is designed to answer the two most common new-player questions: "What should I do next?" and "Which rewards matter most right now?"
How to use it well: Keep at least one short-term task and one long-term task active at all times. The short task keeps momentum going, while the long task gives your training sessions a clear purpose.
What Tasks Replace
The Task System replaces the old role that quests used to play: it gives guided progression, unlock pacing, and reward targets without forcing you through long story chains. Instead of chasing Quest Points, you now build your account through meaningful objectives that line up with how people actually train on a 2006 server.

Typical Examples
Why It Matters

Early account setup
Equip starter gear, bank supplies, kill low-level monsters
Gives new accounts immediate direction and easy early rewards

Assigned monster progression
Complete kill-count objectives, move to harder masters
Combines combat XP, profit, and access to better drops
Exploration
Map knowledge and utility
Visit cities, use travel systems, reach minigame hubs
Opens faster routing and reduces wasted travel time
Account Milestones

Reach total levels, upgrade gear tiers, complete layered grinds
Acts as the replacement for old account progression checkpoints
How Progress Works
Step
What To Do
Practical Advice
Pick tasks
Choose tasks that match what you already planned to train
Do not select goals that force inefficient detours unless the reward is worth it
Track requirements
Check item, level, and area needs before leaving the bank
Pre-banking required tools saves more time than the task reward usually costs
Stack objectives
Combine a task with Slayer, clueing, or money-making routes
The best tasking happens when one trip advances two or three goals
Claim rewards quickly
Turn in or collect rewards as soon as the milestone is complete
Immediate reward claims often fund the next stage of progression
Rotate difficulty
Mix easy completions with medium or long grinds
This keeps momentum up and avoids getting stuck on one long objective

Common Reward Types
Reward Type
What You Usually Get
Best Time To Value It
Coins
Straight cash injections for supplies or upgrades
Most valuable early, when small bankroll bumps matter most
Experience
Targeted XP in one or more skills
Best used to skip low-level training bottlenecks
Supplies
Food, runes, ammo, or skilling materials
Excellent when you are building a self-sustaining account loop
Access unlocks
Travel options, activity entry, progression flags
These are usually the highest long-term value rewards
Progression credit
Completion toward larger milestone chains
Important for players chasing efficient structured progression
Good tasking habit: If a task sends you to a monster or area you were already planning to use, do it immediately. If it sends you somewhere inefficient, park it and return once it overlaps with another goal.
